WT&F | DeSouza and Carlson Represent the Gaels at the Husky Classic

SEATTLE, Wash. — Saint Mary's Women's Track and Field athletes Jaden DeSouza and Alexys Carlson represented the Gaels this weekend at the Husky Classic competing in the 800 meters and shot put events.
Graduate student DeSouza continued to showcase her strength in the 800m, finishing the race in 2:09.17 and placing 25th in a field of 44 runners.
Freshman Carlson, who leads the Gaels developing throwing program, recorded a throw of 34' 5.5" which is the seventh furthest throw in program history. Carlson also holds the program record with a throw of 36' 5.75" that she recorded back in January.
The Gaels will close their indoor track and field season at the MPSF Championships on March 1st and 2nd in Reno, Nevada.
