MWP | Christian Renzuto Signs on to Join Gaels Men’s Water Polo in their Inaugural Season

MORAGA, Calif. — Joining Saint Mary's Men's Water Polo for its first season in program history is Naples, Italy native, Christian Renzuto. Renzuto joins his fellow countrymen Domenico Barilla and Federico Castrucci, as the Gaels continue to build their roster for the 2026 season.
Renzuto brings nine years of water polo experience to the new program. During that time, Renzuto competed for the Italian club team C.N. Posillipo, and received multiple medals, including a gold medal at the 2023 Italian under-15 Championship. He also earned a silver medal at the 2024 Italian under-18 Championship and a bronze medal at the under-18 and under-16 Championships in 2022 and 2023, respectively.
Just the fifth signing for Head Coach James Lathrop, Renzuto will look to be an early contributor for the Gaels in their first ever season of competition.
