WT&F | De Souza Takes Second in the 800m to Headline Gaels Trip to the MPSF Indoor Championships

RENO, Nev. — The Saint Mary's women's track and field team wrapped up its indoor season at the 2026 Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Indoor Track and Field Championships on Monday.
Continuing her impressive season, Jaden DeSouza finished second overall in the 800 meters with a time of 2:10.45. The performance marked the Gaels' first-ever individual podium finish at the MPSF Indoor Championships.
In the 200m, Madison Dwyer led the Gaels with a time of 25.96. Junior Allie Davis-Libiano followed in 26.60, setting a new personal best, while freshmen Terra Pandolfi (27.85) and
Faviola Quintana (28.04) both also recorded personal best finishes.
Freshman Courtney Fitzgibbon led Saint Mary's in the mile with a personal best time of 5:15.95. Fellow freshman Zoe Leach led the way for the Gaels in the 3000m coming 25th out of 41 runners with a personal best time of 10:29.13. Jane Carney earned her best time in the race as well, clocking in at 10:40.96.
Saint Mary's will begin its outdoor track and field season on Friday at the Golden Gate Track Fest.
