ON PACE FOR 400
Antonie Kelnarova's stellar play has been well documented all season, and she looks to be well on her way to another milestone, on pace to be the first Gael since 2007 to record 400 kills in a season. In total nine Gaels have reached or surpassed 400 kills in a single season, with the last being Megan York in 2007 with 471. Currently, Kelnarova is on pace to tally 439 kills to go along with her pace total of 66 aces (her 50 currently are tied for the most in a single season in program history) and 297 digs.Â
ABOUT THE TIGERS
Pacific is the only team in the WCC that the Gaels have yet to square off with. The Tigers, under the first year direction of head coach Jeff Hendershot, have found the 2026 campaign tough sledding, sitting at 4-18, with 16 consecutive losses coming into this matchup. A Pacific alum, Hendershot dominated the DIII coaching ranks at La Verne for six seasons, including a 30-3 record last year that ended in the DIII National Title match. The Tigers' brightest spot this season has been sophomore libero Bella Gutierrez, who leads the team averaging 3.82 digs per set. In 30 all-time meetings, the Tigers and Gaels are knotted up at 15 wins apiece in program history. That said, the Gaels have won each of the last five meetings to level that season series.
